Federal

U.S. Senate is the upper house of the bicameral legislature of the United States. Each State elects two senators.

U.S. House of Representatives is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of the United States. The number of voting representatives in the House is fixed by law at no more than 435, proportionally representing the population of the 50 states.

U.S. Election Assistance Commission is an independent, bipartisan commission established to develop guidance to meet Help America Vote Act requirements, adopt voluntary voting system guidelines, and serve as a national clearinghouse of information on election administration.

Federal Election Commission is an independent regulatory agency, which collects and discloses federal campaign finance information, enforces the provisions of the law such as the limits and prohibitions on contributions, and oversees the public funding of Presidential elections.

Federal Voting Assistance Program provides voting assistance for uniformed service Members and their families, and citizens living outside of the U.S.

U.S. Department of Justice enforces federal statutes prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, disability, religion, familial status and national origin. The U.S. Department of Justice enforces federal statutes like the Voting Rights Act and the American’s with Disability Act.

National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) serves as a medium for the exchange of information between states and fosters cooperation in the development of public policy. The areas of focus for NASS are elections and voting, state business services and digital archiving.

National Association of State Elections Directors promotes accessible, accurate and transparent elections in the U.S. and its territories.

 

State

The Washington State Legislature is a bicameral body with 49 members in the Senate and 98 members in the House of Representatives. Each district is served by one Senator and two Representatives.

Public Disclosure Commission provides timely and meaningful public access to accurate information about the financing of state political campaigns, lobbyist expenditures, and the financial affairs of public officials and candidates, and ensures compliance with and equitable enforcement of Washington's disclosure and campaign finance laws.

Washington Association of County Officials is comprised of affiliate organizations for every county official in Washington's 39 counties. These affiliate associations meet throughout the year, bringing colleagues together to discuss issues of common interest and to exchange ideas and opinions.

Washington State Association of Counties provides a variety of services to its member counties including advocacy, training and workshops, a worker's compensation retrospective rating pool and a forum to network and share best practices.

Washington State Redistricting Commission is responsible of redrawing legislative and congressional district boundaries every ten years as a result of new Census data.
